Pepper Chicken

This one is my own recipe for pepper chicken, I guess it is really different from the original. This recipe is completely my own, so make it at your own risk.

Ingredients:
  • 500 gm boneless skinless chicken, small pieces

  • 3 tablespoon white vinegar

  • 4 tablespoon soya sauce

  • 3 teaspoon black/white pepper powder

  • 1 bunch of salad onions, sliced

  • 3 medium onions, finely sliced

  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced finely

  • 2 tablespoon chilli sauce

  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce

  • 4 green chillies

  • 3 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

  • 3 tablespoon oil

  • salt, to taste

Procedure:
  • Wash the chicken, drain as much water as you can. Mix with the white vinegar and enough salt and keep for 30 minutes.

  • Then more water will come out of the chicken. Sqeeze out the water as well as the vinegar. This is important so that the other spices can get into the chicken.

  • Now add the soya sauce, pepper powder and ginger garlic paste. Mix them well with hand.

  • Heat the oil in a pan. When heated put the sliced onions and the chopped salad onions in the well. Fry well, add some salt so that the frying is quicker.

  • Also add sliced green chillies.

  • After the onions have turned translucent, add the chicken along with all the mixture.

  • Turn the heat up and fry the chicken in the mixture. After few minutes the chicken will start to give out water. Now lower the heat and cover the pan, so that the chicken gets cooked.

  • Add the tomatoes and fry well.

  • When the chicken is more or less done, add the chilli and tomato sauce. Mix well. Add salt if necessary.

  • This dish is better when dry, but if gravy is required, add water and let boil.

  • The dish is ready, you should get a nice smell of pepper, if not, you can add more.

The taste was good, peppery and a smell of vinegar.
